Slugs Bugs and Snails Yuckie

As we were getting ready to move there was so much to be done. Once the kids were told they couldn't help dad they moved on to other things.

While John was working on his car the kids found some bugs and a snail. The snail was definately on the move. While I am not a big admirer of bugs and slimy things I try not to discourage the kids from experiencing things and making up their own mind. I got Kelsey a paper plate so they could look closely at the snail...not to mention one less in the flower bed.
Johnnie was in awe and quickly wanted to get in on the action.
The snail wasn't so happy and did a lot of moving...which only continued the kids excitement a little more.
This is a great picture of Johnnies excitement. I wish I had zoomed on his face a little more.
This little creepy crawler was returned to the grass to slim his way around.

A Happy Ending for all.
A peaceful view of one of our favorite places!

  1. I always noticed Kelsey being into the little creatures. I guess I was the same way when I was younger too...I grew out of it. I love Johnnies excited face...too funny

  2. Kelsey has been the bug hunter for some time. Johnnie is starting to get into it a little more but there are tons of red ants so he is a little more cautious and reserved on the bug handling front. I have a post to do about some sea crabs and that was so much fun!
