Pumpkin Patch

It was a hot, sunny day and it was time to get our pumpkins. Every year we visit Pa's Pumpkin Patch with pumpkins, rides, games and jumpers...much like a carnival. Johnnie is really interested in exploring and loves to touch and wander...he was so excited when we arrived and saw the pumpkins!Kelsey was also very excited, her first ride was this great little train, she was so proud and had a blast on the train. She waived to us almost the entire ride! I can't believe how much she has grown from this time last year! Choo-choo...can you find Kelsey in this picture...sort of like a where Waldo!
They have the perfect size petting and feeding zoo. Before you go in the pen with the animals you can feed them outside. Kelsey did a great job and was selective about the animals she wanted to feed - ALL OF THEM! Johnnie caught on really quick...it was just like feeding our dog his dinner!
Kelsey worked her way down the row feeding the goats and sheep!
We love experiencing new things with the kids, it was such a great family day!
By the time we made it to the Ponys both kids were long past their naps, hot and hungry. We didn't seem to get any great photos of them on the Ponys but they did have a great time.
Johnnie kept watching to see where we were. He liked the Pony but wasn't too sure about being away from Mom and Dad.
Our Cowgirl
Johnnie after he got used to the Pony decided he had an interest in the Pony handler and was checking him out.
Daddy helping Johnnie pick out his very first pumpkin.
Hmm....is this the one?
Here is one pooped pumpkin....mommy just had to get one more photo!
Okay....this year they put an age limit on this slide...no kids over 12. Kelsey is used to going on these slides with daddy...but she wanted to go even though daddy couldn't go with her. She climbed all the way to the top and had no problems going down the first time.
She even asked to go a second time and made it all the way to the top and than changed her mind. We couldn't figure out why she didn't want to slide the second time until daddy noticed this picture....it was pretty clear that wasn't happening again! She is definately a brave adventurous little girl...who knows what she likes and is learning what she doesn't!
A fun day was had by all!
Happy Haunting!
