Well today I put my cigar box amp together. I picked up the box yesterday at the local cigar shop for ten bucks. It's got a cool rough finish on the wood. I had a small amp with a plastic housing that I bought ten or more years ago and just took the guts out and installed them in the cigar box and wham,,,, cigar box amp!! It's got a cool adjustable echo effect built in and works off a 9 volt battery or you can plug it into a wall socket, if I can find the adapter. I got it done this afternoon and plugged in my old silvertone and it sounded great! Alot better than the old boring plastic housing. Tonite I stuck a peizo and a jack in my cigar box guitar and tried it out, didn't sound as nice as the silvertone, but was kinda neat sounding. I'm sure my next CBG will sound much better.
Like I said ..I can't wait to hear it.
