Happy Holidays!
Its definately been a while for posting as you know. I have so many happy pictures to post from this holiday season, but we decided that since it will be time to start a new blog for 2011 that we would migrate before the end of the year. Eulogy
This is what will be read tomorrow....for our friends far away....thanks for your thoughts.
This morning when I looked out the kitchen window and looked up at the overgrown green tree which somewhere in the fury of the past six weeks is now some of the most beautiful orange hues you could every see. In that very moment I was reminded it was the very tree my mother loved to look at this time of the year every year. As I thought of what a simple beauty it was my eyes filled with tears as I glanced down and looked at the empty patio and realized there will never be a day I would sit and have coffee in the backyard with my mother or hear her cracking a lobster claw on a summer afternoon.
The simple things, much like the changing in the color of the tree, remind me of the traditions that my mother practiced and preached. She was a mother, a sister a grandmother and a friend to many. She new a great love and she was loved. She was an integral part in the creation of lasting memories for many people. We shared lots of things together and she was one of my favorite mentors.
My mother was a very strong woman and she believed in doing the impossible and than she did it, clearly a quality she passed on.
As a realized it was time to get going with the day I was reminded of one of the last lessons that my mother taught, God uses good people to do great things. And I'm grateful to be able to say thank you, mother, for being a great woman who used your life to share some of those great things. We are blessed because mother left behind a quilt of memories rich with tradition and the attitude that anything is possible if you believe!
We may no longer see her but we’ll always have these special moments we shared with her. She will always have a special part in our hearts, her presence will be greatly missed.

Boston College Camp
This summer Kelsey went to camp at Boston College for four weeks. At first she wasn't too thrilled about it, but it didn't take her long to get adjusted and enjoy going. She really misses her friends a lot, very few days go by they she doesn't talk about Ms. Maria, Dakota, Nicki or Alex from her old school. Today was the last day of camp and they had a fun outdoor BBQ. Here are some pictures from around the campus and at the BBQ. 
The last day of camp they had a nice program and a lunch for family, friends and the kids, catered by BC.
The BC Mascot came to visit the kids.
Also a friendly police offer and his companion were on hand to chat with the kids. Kelsey took on the big sister role and was walking Johnnie around.
It didn't take Kelsey long to warm up to the characters.

I guess I can no longer be a Notre Dame fan....considering my princess considers herself an Eagle now!

Aunties House
We love to go to Aunties house and swim at the pool. The kids, now very comfortable with the water, have ventured on to trying new things with the noodles. The most fun seems to be he horsey noodle, however, neither of them has mastered how to stay up when they are straddling the noodle.

Me too!
Johnnie has started with a plethora of phrases these days some of which are O Man, See Ya, Where are you, Lets Go and Me too! He sees that Mommy and Sissy where flip flops. I have stayed away from them for him because of his legs, but I broke down and got him a pair. He loves them and was so excited to wear them.

A Little Charm
Down the street, one small block, from Auntie K's house is a really pretty rotary which is a large fountain/park area in the middle and it is even home to some Geese. This is a great showing of some simple New England charm. One day while daddy was doing some repairs for Auntie we took a walk to check out the Geese and give them some lunch.

Bronto Burgers
We went to a BBQ at a friends house and they had these amazing pepper burgers. They came from a deli counter at a small grocery store so we ventured off one afternoon and picked some up for a cook-out we were having. They were delicious, these were the only pictures from our cook-out - they are brontosaurus size and almost impossible to finish one but are they yum delicious!

Castle Island
Castle Island is located in South Boston on the shore of Boston Harbor. It is currently a 22-acre recreation site, and the site of a five sided fort first built in 1643. They have a great beach type restaurant, walking or riding path and a small beach. One day we spent part of the afternoon with some friends – the girls did beach stuff and Daddy did some Metal Detecting and found some really cool things. 
This is a really small section near the restaurant perfect for little kids to have some beach fun.

Try Try Again
The kids just never get tired of going to the park and now since we have moved we are visiting all kinds of new parks which is like an adventure for the kids they just love it! 
This park has these swinging things they kind of remind me of pendulums. They moving back and forth and you step across. We have been teaching Kelsey "If at First You Don't Success -TRY, TRY again". The second time across with a big smile she recited that saying and shined a big smile!
